Simon is the lead protagonist in this book by V.A. Dold, and the depth of his story borders on a study of shifter psychology. At the end of book one, the emotional results of his military service is introduced but not explored. Book two begins with his four year deployment as a Marine in the Middle East, effectively pouring the foundation on which to build an understanding of his state of mind when he first meets Rose, his fated mate. With her history, Rose has many good reasons to be troubled and cautious. But she is likeable, strong, brave, a perfect counter balance to Simon's personality.If you like a romance that includes action and suspense with twists and turns, then you will like this offering from V.A. Dold. The tale of their HEA flows well with a steady to fast pace. The only real criticism I have is the same one I have with most all of the shifter tales on the market, too much “unnecessary” sex. That said, this series is free of explicit vulgarities and the sex is less graphic than many on the virtual book shelves.
Finally, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Anna and Cade Le Beau's story in book one of this series, and it was a bonus to be updated on their lives in book two.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Simon and Rose, it had a very good story line and characters that you could really cheer for. I appreciated the strength of Rose and the way she overcame the horrible things that happened to her in the past, also the way she and Simon worked together to heal Simon and also arranged to create a place where others that suffer from their experiences in the war. I have several in my family that are still working through PTSD so I really appreciated that the characters thought of others that were and are going through these terrible troubles! Thanks for a great read!
This is the second book in the Le Beau Series and I have to say it is my favorite book so far !!!!! In this book you meet Simon, who served his country but came home troubled and stuck mostly in his wolf form and Rose, who is Anna's friend and a woman who had a very tough life. I love how as soon an Simon meets Rose she is already helping to heal him and how Simon and his family are also helping Rose to heal without either one of them knowing it. This book was all around an amazing story and it had so much action and romance in it, it made it very hard to put it down. I wont go into too much more details because I don't want to give the story away but I will say that this book is a sweet and touching book but it also had your alpha shifters in it as well as the family from the previous book as well. Loved this book and I am anxiously awaiting the next book !!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved the message of this book. Simon suffers from severe PTSD and needs touch to keep his wolf at bay. I love how Simon and Rose meet. Rose comes with her issues and I love how Simon helps her realize his love is not fleeting. So much happens in this book that I was freaking out happy!!Cade and Anna have a boy on the way, you meet Rose's brothers, you get to hear more about Etienne the vampire, Rose is kidnapped, the Unforgotten Hero Foundation...so much happens! I absolutely love the TUHF and premise behind it. Great job bringing awareness to an epidemic we have in today's society and our soldier returning. There should be more of these created in the world! We should take care of our brave soldiers that sacrifice for our freedoms. Great book! Would highly recommend and I am so eager to read the next brother, Stefan and El's story!

Enter his mate, Rose a woman who is his mate and she manages to draw him back into the human world, their connection and feelings are instant, he just has to make her understand and believe not only of their feelings but deal with what he is.
They have a few things they need to overcome, so Simon does not loose her for that would spell disaster for him and his wolf, will they find their happily after, well just read the book.
V.A.Dold and Tori Austin have created a delightful cast of characters with their family of wolf shifters from the Nagoya around New Orleans. SIMON is the first in a series of books about seven bachelor brothers, each with his own special strengths and weaknesses and each in search of the one woman on earth who is destined to be his mate. There are steamy love scenes between monogamous, "wedded" couples, so a mature audience is appropriate. The story is not laced with sleaze, gore or foul language, however. In the world of these stories, the lives of these supernatural creatures are governed by a "Goddess," who is consulted and worshiped. However, the authors treat this as merely the normal behavior in the fantasy they've created, rather than as an endorsement or a blasphemy of any existing religion. In all, it is a fun, romantic, action story with well drawn characters, a satisfying plot, and little content that might be offensive. SIMON's story will make readers eager to read the other novels in the series.
I love shifters and their sense of loyalty and that is why they make the best mates/husbands/boyfriends. But I am especially fond of these brothers because they are all different yet still love and support one another, despite the heckling we get to experience. Simon and Rose are extra special. I happen to relate to them because I have either experienced some of what they have or know someone very close to me that did. War, abuse both of them are touched by pain others cannot understand and it made this story, all of their stories really, more real and relatable and lovable. Rose has found she does not need to be a victim anymore and that's an amazing thing. Simon, the poor guy, I have a soft spot for people in need which is why the second he was introduced in the first book I wanted to hug him tightly and never let go. Seeing him transform as he finds happiness is extra fulfilling. The romance between these two is sweet and steamy. Loved this book cannot wait to read the next one.
